Learning, Access and Community Engagement Plan
Client: The Limestone Landscapes Partnership
Location: County Durham (mainly)
with 3Ps and Countryside Training Partnership
- The team compiled the LACE Study in support of the Limestone Landscape Partnership scheme’s Stage 2 HLF bid for the National Character Area ‘Durham Magnesian Limestone Plateau’. The area covers about 207 km square, largely across eastern County Durham.
- The Partnership's aim is to make a positive difference to quality of life for local communities and to the unique environment of the Magnesian Limestone area, focusing on the area’s rich cultural and natural heritage.
- The study was based on HLF guidelines for Activities Planning and Landscape Partnerships and played an important role in guiding priorities for the Landscape Conservation Action Plan to be submitted for the partnership’s Stage 2 HLF bid.
- We undertook a range of research and consultations to test the Partnership's project proposals with representatives of target audiences, including education providers, youth groups and recreation and access stakeholders.
