PLB Intelligent Solutions for Cultural and Natural Heritage
South West Durham Corridor - access & audience development plan
For Durham County Council
Background:
- A proposed programme for a multi-user route along a disused railway line in Teesdale, linking places of heritage and general interest.
- Aimed at walkers, cyclists and horse riders with a range of viewpoints and interpretation
Our solutions:
- We’re currently exploring how to use the industrial and cultural heritage of the area to attract day visitors and tourists for local economic benefits
- The railway path would provide opportunities for the local community to access their heritage and environment, as well as providing volunteering, education, skills development and job opportunities
