Through the keyhole

Tatton Park

Our projects director, Sarah Oswald, has recently shared our experience of interpreting lives and living in historic houses at a recent ‘Hidden Histories’ workshop at Tatton Park.

We have been involved in many projects where the stories of people living in historic houses have been brought to life through interpretation work. The workshop at Tatton Park, where we were fortunate enough to have an interpretation involvement, looked at a number of our recent and past interpretation projects, including Forty Hall and The Charles Dickens Museum.

Attended by the National Trust, the local authority and other museums and heritage sites, the workshop helped explain the process of interpretation and encouraged discussion.

Sarah’s presentation, along with other talks from the day, was filmed by the National Trust and will be used to share best practice amongst stakeholders.
