PLB is passionate about heritage and about giving the best to our sector. That’s why we are delighted to announce our contributions to two leading sector conferences this October: Museums Association and the Association for Heritage Interpretation.
PLB will be providing one of the free exhibition seminars at this year’s Museums Association Conference in Brighton. Our session on Sustainable Exhibition Design, on 3rd October at 11.30am, will offer delegates a chance to find out about PLB’s Green Design Initiative, developed in association with Greener Museums, as well as to participate in exploring what green design means. We are delighted to be joined for the seminar by Rachel Madan of Greener Museums and Peter Vadden of Southend-on-Sea Museums Service, with whom we are piloting the Initiative as part of the redevelopment of Prittlewell Priory Museum.

Even if you can’t get a seat in the seminar, come and visit our stand 40B and talk to one of our team members about sustainable design and our other services.
Later in October, we will be welcoming the Association for Heritage Interpretation to Yorkshire as this year’s conference sponsor. As one of the UK’s leading design consultancies and being proudly based in Yorkshire, we are excited about sharing our region’s interpretive best practice with national and international delegates.
The conference, based at Huby Hall, York, runs from 19th to 21st October and includes talks and visits on the theme of ‘interpretation in challenging times’. PLB will be contributing to this challenging subject with an exploration of sustainable interpretive design. To book your place at part or all of the conference visit the AHI website at http://www.ahi.org.uk/www/events/event_details/65/
We hope to see you in October! And if you miss these events, watch this space for access to the conference papers.
